What hours do you clean? 
Our  hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Will my house be cleaned on the same day & time every time? 
Yes. We assign you a specific time and day slot which is yours exclusively. We do ask that you do allow a 30 minute window on either side of your time slot to allow for any incidentals such as traffic, detrimental weather, etc.

Do I have to be home when you clean?
That is up to you.  Most clients are not present when we are there to clean.  If you would like to get to know us before letting us clean on our own on a regular basis, then you are more than welcome to do so.  We do not assume liability for injury to those in the home while we are cleaning; therefore we ask that you stay out of the cleaning area and off of wet floors to prevent any injuries.

Do you provide your own supplies? 
We do, unless you prefer us to use yours. If that is the case, please leave them out with instructions. We have,         however, found that it is to everyone’s benefit that we use your vacuum, since they are specific to the type of carpet/flooring in the home.  It is also necessary in preventing the transfer of pet dander from home to home, which is crucial for those with allergies. Due to sanitation issues, we also require that you provide a toilet brush in each bathroom.

How do you handle keys?
Each key is given a number so names or addresses are never on them for safety.  Many clients give us a code for entry as well.  The manner you use is completely up to you.  We understand your comfort of security is important.

What if something is damaged in my home ?
Essence of Clean is insured for liability to your home.  We are all human so accidents are  bound to occur, however, we treat every home with the utmost respect and caution.  If by chance something breaks, then we will leave you a note and make arrangements to replace the item or pay for it.

Please Note:  If you have items that are of value (monetary or sentimental) we prefer not to clean them.  We do not clean plasma/LCD TV screens or expensive stereo/TV equipment.  We cannot be responsible for items that have been damaged prior to us cleaning the home, nor can we be responsible for items that are not properly hung on the wall, poorly constructed or not fastened in a proper fashion. Since we dust thoroughly around your home, including ceilings, please do make certain that all pictures, wall hangings, & light sconces/fixtures are securely attached.        

Do you guarantee your work?
Yes - there is a same day guarantee.  If you are not satisfied, please let us know and we will return as soon as possible to amend the problem.

Do I have to do anything prior to you coming to clean?
Having the home picked up as much as possible is ideal so that we are able to do our job in a timely fashion.  If you are in need of some picking up, please schedule picking up time prior to the cleaning team arriving.  You may be billed for the extra time depending on how long it takes.  If surfaces are found with excessive clutter without us being notified before hand, the surface will be left as is.  It is in your best interest to see to it that we are able to properly do our job.  If the front of the refrigerator is overtaken with clutter or multiple items stashed underneath of the bed, the surface areas will not be able to be attended to.

What payment options do you offer?
For your convenience, we offer monthly billing and online payments. Never worry about forgetting a check before you leave in the morning again! Our clients are issued a statement via e-mail two weeks prior to the upcoming service month and have the option of paying automatically online or mailing a check with the bill. Your commitment to paying for the month upfront allows us to reserve that time slot for you to service your home for the month.  

Please Note:  If payment has not been made at the time of your scheduled cleaning we will be unable to clean.       However, your regular scheduled fee will be applied as we have reserved that time for you. 

Do you offer discount programs?
Indeed we do! Our loyal clients are awarded $25 off one cleaning for each referral which becomes a recurring account for us.  We also offer discounts available to Senior citizens and the disabled and have many sign-up specials throughout the year, so check back with us occasionally to see what is available.

What about Pets?   
We love animals and don't mind working around them.  However, if your pet is prone to running out the door,         unpredictable or aggressive behavior, then please take precautions in securing them before we come.    

Please Note: We do not clean feces or vomit of any kind- human or animal - nor will we clean the area around it.

Do you work on holidays?
We strive to keep your schedule consistent whenever possible.  The only holidays which we will re-arrange your set cleaning day for are Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Typically, we will push you back or forward just a day or two to accommodate this.  We appreciate your flexibility with us on times such as these!

Do you give estimates over the phone?
It has been our experience that no two homes are the exact same in size, floor plan, living conditions, amount of       furnishings and knick-knacks, and specific needs, which is why we have developed a highly customized estimate process.  We can give a very rough estimate but that can either go up or down once we have visited and/or cleaned your home.
